先週の木曜日ですが広尾で行われたウェブログについてのセミナーに行ってきました。
いや、すごかったですね‐。何か新しいものが生まれていくときのエネルギーを強く感じ
ました。口コミで伝わって136名が参加。熱気溢れる会場の雰囲気はこちらのイベント

新しいことをいくつか学びました。
RSS＝ Really Simple Syndication ということだったのですね。
要するにいろいろな人が頻繁にウェブログで情報を発信したときに、いちいちそのページま
で見に行かなくとも、RSSを閲覧するソフトをダウンロードしておけば自動的に更新された
情報がニュース速報のようにがんがん送られてくる、ということです。これはたとえば誰か
ある人が発する情報を自分にとっての定点観測のようにしたいと思ったときにはそのサイト
を登録しておくとその人が見て、発信する価値アリ、と思ったものが共同通信・ロイター・
ブルーンバーグのニュース配信を得るようにして自動的に飛び込んでくるということです。

ウェブログの定義に関してもセミナーでは触れられていました。

更新頻度のが高くて、一つ一つの投稿が自動的に「タイトル」「カテゴリ」「日付」「本文」と
いうような情報とともに整理されたコンテンツとして生成されるので、配信・検索などが
非常に容易で、個人としての情報発信を可能にするツールというようなイメージを今は
抱いています。
新しい技術を理解するのにここ数ヶ月かかってきているけれど、「分かった！」と理解
する瞬間、これはやっぱり嬉しいものです。是非このウェブログを見てそんな思いの人
のもやもやを晴らすことが出来れば、と思っています。
